NER

Arrowmen of the Northeast Region,

Thank you to everyone that has supported me so far in my scouting career and aided in my success. I wish to share my enthusiasm and love for The Order of the Arrow with all brothers in the Northeast Region this year.

During my term as your 2013 Northeast Region Chief I will strive to accomplish a number of monumental and beneficial achievements, so that our region may strengthen and evolve. I have developed five goals that will be accomplished with assistance from all members of our region.

1) Northeast Region Train the Trainer

Together we will conduct the first Train the Trainer event for the Northeast Region National Leadership Seminar Staff, where, we wish to expand the pool of available trainers, and better prepare them to train our future leaders. Our Goal is to train eight individuals.

2) Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

We will encourage lodges to assist councils in Hurricane Sandy relief projects through a service grant program and award $55,000 this spring.

3) NLS Contract Completion Team.

Our team will help Arrowmen who attend the National Leadership Seminar to complete their contracts by engaging the assistance of lodge and section leadership. This year we aim to increase our contract completion rate by 20 percent over last year.

4) Lodge Key 3 Summit.

We want to bring together lodge key 3's for the fist time in the Northeast Region to share best practices, discuss common challenges with their peers,  and also promote fellowship and region unity. Our aim is to have 75 percent of the lodges in the Northeast Region Represented in our inaugural event.

5) Communication.

We wish to use our region website to frequently deliver lively and up to date news stories. To accomplish this, we will have two sections write an article each month featuring a great program, concept or success story from a lodge in their section.

I look forward to serving as your Chief this year and am filled with excitement and enthusiasm that will be shared with the Arrowmen of the Northeast Region. I hope to meet many new Arrowmen from across the Nation and perform to the best of my ability. I am always open to suggestions or concerns, so please feel free to contact me if there is anything that your Region leadership team can do to help you.

I am thrilled to be your 2013 Northeast Region Chief and I know that our Region is capable of achieving great heights this year. If we support one another and work together, my goals for this year will be met, and we will all enjoy more successful Order of the Arrow programs in the region.

In Cheerful Service,

Tyler Allen
2013 Northeast Region Chief
