NE-1

Justin St. Louis | Section NE-1 | This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Justin is an Eagle Scout from Troop 7 in Lowell, Massachusetts; a Vigil Honor member and Founder’s Award recipient of Pennacook Lodge. Prior to his election as section chief, Justin served as lodge chief, section vice chief, and section secretary. He is currently involved as the Print Publications Lead on the National OA Communications Team, and as the Northeast Region Communications Team Coordinator. He attended the 2012 and 2015 National Order of the Arrow Conferences, along with NEXT: A New Century! Justin looks forward to staffing Operation Arrow at the 2017 National Scout Jamboree. Outside of scouting, he is a freshman at the University of Massachusetts Lowell where he majors in political science. In his free time, Justin enjoys swimming, camping, and graphic design. Justin’s most memorable Scouting experience was his first National Order of the Arrow Conference in 2012. NE-2A 

John Zanin | Section NE-2A | This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. John is an Eagle Scout and a Brotherhood member of Nacha Nimat Lodge of the Hudson Valley Council. Throughout his scouting tenure, John has participated in a wide variety of activities from taking and Staffing HVC's NYLT program as well as the national train the trainer program for NYLT, NYLT Leadership Academy. He has previously served as section vice-chief and training chairman, as well as secretary for Nacha Nimat Lodge. Now, John is excited to serve as the NE-2A Section Chief, looking to help promote our Order and make great experiences for his Brothers. Outside of the Scouting world, John is in his first year at the University of Vermont majoring in economics and minoring in history. He is a member of ROTC and is excited to see what he can learn in this new journey of education and where he can use his scouting skills. John cannot wait to enjoy the beauty of Vermont, skiing, hiking, and camping in the Green Mountains. This is an exciting  year for John and he can't wait to see where it goes!

NE-2B

Liam Gargiulo | Section NE-2B | This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Liam is from Shinnecock Lodge, Suffolk County, NY. He’s currently a sophomore at Suffolk County Community College majoring in theater production. Liam is an Eagle Scout from Troop 1634, West Babylon. He is a Vigil Honor member and has also served as Secatogue’s chapter chief, Shinnecock Lodge Chief and section vice chief. Liam has also worked at the council’s traveling day camp. His interests outside of Scouting include djing, working on lights and sound for theater performances. His most memorable Scouting experience was when his troop went to Gettysburg. His younger cousin had just bridged over into the troop, it was great to see him experience Gettysburg and grow with the new independence of Scouting.

NE-3A

Zach is an Eagle Scout from Troop 333, a Vigil Honor member, and Founders Award recipient of Lowanne Nimat Lodge, in Syracuse, NY. Before elected Section Chief, Zach served as section vice-chief, the Centennial Conclave Coordinator, CVC, 2015 NOAC Chairman, Merchandise Chairman, member of the ceremonies team, NYLT patrol guide, and NYLT ASPL for two years. In his troop he has been a Patrol Leader for three years, a Quartermaster for two years, and OA Troop Rep for two years. He currently serves as NYLT Senior Patrol Leader, and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 333. He also has attended the NYLT Leadership Academy, NLS, NOAC 2015 National Council of Chiefs, and has represented his lodge the last two years at the Annual National Boy Scout Meeting. Outside of scouting Zach is a Junior at Cicero North Syracuse High School where he is a member of his school’s National Honor Society, Star Leadership program, and has been on the varsity swim team for 2 years. He will be attending Boy’s State this summer. Other interests are going camping and hunting with his friends and family, biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and all other water activities. He also enjoys creating patches and merchandise for his lodge and council.

NE-3B 

Kent Boatman | Section NE-3B | This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Kent is a sophomore at the State University of New York at Broome. He is a Brotherhood member, an Eagle Scout and is active in Troop 83 of Conklin, NY and Crew 12 of Chenango Bridge, NY. He has held a variety of leadership positions in Otahnagon Lodge, including: chapter chief, conclave vice chief, conclave coordinator and the vice chief of administration for two consecutive years. Kent has worked on summer camp staff for 3 years at Tuscarora Scout Reservation. Kent's interests outside of Scouting include music, mechanics, hanging out with friends and ultimate Frisbee with his Otahnagon brothers.

 

NE-4A

Kyle Kern | Section NE-4A | This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Kyle Kern started his journey at Wolf’s Crossroads in Sunbury with Troop 331. He is an Eagle Scout and Reserve Member in the troop today. He is a member of Woapeu Sisilija Lodge based in Williamsport, PA, in which he has served as Induction Enrichment Chair, Lodge Treasurer and Lodge Chief before being elected as Section Chief at the 2016 NE-4A Conclave. Kyle is a sophomore triple major at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA studying: Environmental Studies, Public Policy, and Communications. Outside of scouting Kyle participates in the campus outdoor activities club known as Geo-Club as Vice-President, a member of the Community Food Action Team dealing with food waste issues on and off campus, a staff writer for the campus paper, The Quill. He has also recently joined Phi Mu Delta, a Greek Life Fraternity with pillars based in similar principles as the Order of the Arrow: Democracy, Service, and Brotherhood. Favorite Quote: 'No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world'- Robin Williams in the Dead Poets Society.

NE-4B 

Aaron Coffman | Section NE-4B | This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Aaron is a Vigil Honor member of Wagion Lodge of Westmoreland Fayette Council. Prior to being elected section chief, he served his lodge as secretary and program vice chief. He also served as the section's secretary for two terms. He has earned all of the merit badges making him the 271st person to ever achieve this goal. He has reached the rank of Eagle Scout and received 4 palms. His greatest experiences in scouting were his OAHA trips. He has participated in both OAWV and OATC. He will be attending college in at Pennsylvania State for Civil Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering. Outside of Scouting, he is a member of the Jacob Creek Watershed Association and volunteers a lot of his time working with them on litter clean ups along with volunteering to distribute food at a local food bank. His most memorable Scouting experience was his OAWV Trip at Northern Tier and his OATC Trek at Philmont. Favorite quote: “Those who chose you need you” - Allowat Sakima

Matt Henry | Section NE-5 Co-Chief Matt is an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor member from Witauchsoman Lodge in Minsi Trails Council. Matt has served as many positions in his lodge such as lodge activities chairman, lodge secretary, lodge 2nd vice chief and section vice chief. He is attending Lock Haven University for American history. Outside of Scouting, Matt participates in a number of activities including Odyssey of the Mind, speech and debate, mock trial and marching band. Favorite quote: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". -John F. Kennedy

 

NE-6A 

Chris Craig | Section NE-6A | This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Chris is an Eagle Scout from Troop 1410 in Fredericksburg, Virginia and a member of the Amangamek-Wipit Lodge. Chris has served in the past as a chapter chief, area vice chief, and NE-6A's social media chairman. Outside of scouting, Chris plays varsity lacrosse, football and soccer for his school. He volunteers with the Special Olympics, and enjoys traveling to new places. Chris is a senior at Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School and a member of many of its clubs. His most memorable Scouting experience was canoeing down the Shenandoah River on his first Scouting campout. Favorite quote: “You have brains in your head”. -Unknown

 

NE-6B 

Nicholas Dougherty | Section NE-6B | This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Nick is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of Guneukitschik Lodge 317, out of Hagerstown, MD. Before being elected section chief, Nick served as the lodge chief for Gunuekitschik Lodge and he was the NE-6B #LEAD Chair. He has attended Florida Seabase, the 2013 National Jamboree, and the 2015 NOAC. He also was able to serve on Prism and NEXT staff in 2016. Nick is currently attending the University of Maryland Baltimore County where he majors in chemical engineering. Outside of Scouting, he enjoys fishing, traveling, and spending time with friends. His most memorable Scouting experience was his trip down to Florida Seabase in 2013 with his home troop.
