Conclave Recaps

Conclave Recap | Section NE-5B

The 2015 Section NE-5B Conclave at Resica Falls Scout Reservation was a big success and hit home on some very important items. Starting with the theme “Awaken Our Past, Define Our Future”, Unami Lodge made sure that everyone in attendance got their chance to reflect on the past and think about the future. Friday night was a blast to start the weekend with a show “The Tonight Show with Pat Campbell” a spin off on The Tonight Show. Saturday morning was the training part of the conclave with a new system that led participants on “Trails” with fellow Arrowmen around the same skill level. 2015 Northeast Region Chief Matt Bell led a cell for the new Arrowmen on how to get involved. Each cell worked off one another with one final cell “Awaken Our Past, Define Our Future” to make the theme a reality in each Arrowman’s life. Saturday afternoon featured the first ever Native American village. Real Native Americans made all items, and lessons were taught all day to help Arrowmen experience a true Lenni Lenape lifestyle! Saturday night featured again another great show with Pat Campbell followed by the annual patch auction and fireworks! Sunday morning brought the conclave to a close starting with the section business meeting, led by the 2015 Section Chief Matt Henry. The last part of the meeting included the 2015-2016 section officer elections. Matt Henry was re-elected to serve as chief, Brian Swatt was elected as vice chief and Chris Kelly was elected as secretary. The last thing for the weekend was recognizing Bryan Frack for his service as section adviser, as he was retiring after the closing song. Many past chiefs and officers spoke about some experiences with Bryan before presenting him with a print of a painting to thank him for his service to so many youth.
